Compatible with Open Dental

OperatoryView reads your practice management system through its official API, read-only. Here is what is supported today, and what is coming next.

Supported today

Open Dental

Installed on a server in your office. OperatoryView runs on that computer and every office PC connects to it.

  • Read-only: OperatoryView cannot write to your practice software
  • Appointments, operatories and providers, and a patient's details when someone opens that patient
  • No copy of your schedule reaches us
  • We sign a BAA with your practice

The one exception: OperatoryView adds a single change notification to your practice software, so your Board updates within seconds of a change. It is one settings entry that points at your own OperatoryView server, and it never changes a patient's record or your schedule.

Multi-location practices are not supported yet.

Supported today

Open Dental Cloud

Hosted for you: OperatoryView runs in our cloud instead of on a computer in your office, and every office PC connects to it over the internet.

  • Read-only, through Open Dental's official API
  • Nothing to install on a server
  • Your practice's OperatoryView data on HIPAA-eligible cloud services, encrypted in transit and at rest
  • We sign a BAA with your practice

Connecting takes three steps

Most practices set up in under an hour. No technician visit.

Install the server

On the computer that runs your practice software, because it is always on.

Connect your practice software

In the Server Manager, with the keys issued to your practice.

Set up each PC

Install the app; it finds the server, and your office password sets it up.
